Protecting the Melipona, Preserving the Forest

About the project

Melipona.eco was born from a simple idea — that healing the planet begins with listening to its smallest voices. We protect and promote the native Melipona bee, a sacred stingless species essential to the regeneration of the tropical forest. Through research, storytelling, and community partnerships, we work to preserve meliponiculture — the ancient art of keeping Melipona bees — and support the local families who carry this tradition forward.

Our Mission

Our Values

We believe in reciprocity — giving back more than we take.

In every drop of Melipona honey lies a balance between nature, science, and tradition. Our values are rooted in care, respect, and regeneration: care for biodiversity, respect for ancestral wisdom, and regeneration of ecosystems and livelihoods.

We act not as owners of nature, but as its guests — learning from the bees, the forest, and the people who have protected them for centuries.

Our Mission

Our mission is to protect Melipona bees and their habitats while creating sustainable opportunities for the Amazon communities that keep them alive.

By combining conservation, education, and ethical production, we aim to restore pollinator populations, raise global awareness about stingless bees, and prove that harmony with nature is not a dream — it’s a choice.
